Design for Article-19's pre-event Unplugged
When thinking of how to publicise the music event, I had the theme in mind that I wanted a common image, palette or theme across all media and I had the freedom to do that as the only designer working on the project. My original idea for a print poster was to have a minimalist design with a head of a person in the centre listening to music. While the original idea was aesthetically soft, and somewhat pastel; during execution, I ended up turning to the visuals we decided to go with. I felt that the neon/outrun vibe of these designs really gave a different and edgy quality to the event publicity, something that our university had not seen before, at least not in my time. If I had more time, I'd have animated the designs for digital publicity, but I plan on doing that anyway later as a personal project.
