The book is intended for children studying music. It contains a number of the most commons musical terms that are likely to be encountered in printed scores and program notes. All the terms used here are Italian. There is no doubt that a foreign word is easier to remember if it is associated with a visual image.  Therefore, it would be logical to use the characters of Italian comedy dell’arte to represent these words.

Pierrot, Arlecchino, Colombina are well known to children all around the world. These and other characters in the book are puppets, but they are animated. We see them in a game situations, the game is exactly what makes them alive. The musical terms are grouped by the sense, and each situation reflects the meaning of the words of those groups. It goes beyond music or theater, you can see the elements of the circus and everyday life here.

All illustrations in the book are hand-drawn with a simple pencil. I abandoned the color in this project to make the characters more expressive. And finally, there are no colored keys on the piano. But the heroes of the book are not too serious, they are funny and kind. I believe that they can be friends for young musicians.
