Object-ive Creativity
1. Combination Strategy:
Bringing two things together to make something new.
2. Juxtaposition Strategy:
Showing the difference between two things rather than their similarities.
3. Isolation Strategy:
Focus on a part in a composition by separating it visually from it’s surroundings or other objects.

4. Metaphor Strategy:
Focus on the MEANING of the image created with your object as it relates to something else.
5. Change of Context/Environment Strategy:
Contrasts objects with unnatural or uncommon environments to highlight a concept or communicate an idea.
6. Physical/Shape Similarity:
Use physical similarities to show connections between objects that normally don’t connect.

For this project, I needed to select one object that has a purpose. I chose a carrot. With that object, I was meant to apply the six different creative strategies listed above: combination, juxtaposition, isolation, metaphor/simile, change of environment/context, and shape similarity. Doing so stretched my mind and creativity, and challenged me to think outside of the box.
