The Plague

I'm particularly attached to this illustration since it was made at the culmination of the process I went through after a complicated relationship that I had, and I represented it by reinterpreting a famous Heinrich Kley's drawing.

I initially attempted to digitize it on Photoshop, but it proved to be an impossible mission. Only now have I found the time to bring it into Illustrator and work on it properly.

You can only imagine how difficult it was to vectorize this drawing. In the end, I had no choice but to make a compromise and accept that many strokes would be lost along the way in order for other parts of the image to look better.

What do you think? There's nothing quite like the feeling of paper and ink, right?
