Athena (“Minerva of Arezzo”), 300 - 270 BC; bronze and copper. (Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Firenze). This statue representing the goddess Athena, which is better known as the Minerva of Arezzo, was discovered in 1541 in Arezzo.
Zenobia in Chains (1859) from Harriet Goodhue Hosmer. Neoclassical style & marble sculpture show this Syrian queen who became ruler of the empire in 267.
The Venus de Milo is an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works in the Louvre Museum in Paris. We took the license of creating a cracked porcelain with gold infills as we already had a marble finish.
