Tata Castle, Hungary
Built at the mid-14th-century on the northern tip of Lake Öreg (Old Lake), the Tata Castle is one of the jewels of Tata, in Hungary.
Tens of thousands of wild geese and ducks spend the autumn and the winter on the lake.
For this reason, since 2001, the Hungarians organize the “Wild Goose Festival”, so that people can watch their early morning take-off and evening return. This is not a loud festival with music and merchant’s fair, but still, it has its special flavor, where the many thousands of wild goose provide the entertainment :)
