A Scratch set of animals from the Mediterranean Sea

A Scratch set of animal from the Mediterranean Sea

A couple of months ago I was asked to make a set of supersimple animals gifs for Scratch, the block-based visual programming language to teach children coding. I wanted the set to have some kind of internal cohesion so I chose animals from the Mediterranean Sea, and it only made sense to start from jellyfishes: usually they're the first sea animal a kid encounter in the wild, usually because they're stung by one of these squishy beauties.
My second animal of choice was the animal I chose as a guide a long time ago (Tostoini, my usual nickname on social media, means tortoise in sardinian), the most beautiful creature in the whole world: the loggerhead turtle.
This is the last gif of that set, and it's a monk seal. Now they're super rare, but when my mother was a kid it was not uncommon to see them on the beach in Sardinia.
Thank you for watching! Find out more on my website or on instagram
