We've had the pleasure of working alongside Nespresso for the last year to help create a consistent art style that is used to depict impressionistic cityscape scenes for different markets around the world. The illustrations are mainly used for hoarding for new boutiques that are being prepared for opening in that particular market.
Each illustration focuses on depicting iconic scenes from each city, capturing characters, activities, local transport or even weather that would be synonymous with that area. In the Melbourne project, we focused on its outstanding architectural landscape incorporating views of the Yarra River. On closer examination, you can pick out the city's unique tram system, subtle nods to Australian rules football and images of Melbourne's unpredictable weather.
