Androide vestido de azul/Ilustración para Game Report

Capture
My 8th participation and appearance in the GameReport magazine is an illustration of my one of favorite video games ever Mega Man, and to be more precise, this is an illustration of the game "Mega Man II" called "El Androide Vestido de Azul"

Historia de una Rivalidad: Konami VS Capcom

For this publication I had the opportunity to make two illustrations for the same magazine which was amazing and a great challenge, my second illustration is of Mega Man II the game. One of my favorite games of my whole life, Megaman 2 marked a point in my life as a gamer and lover of science fiction, robots and semi-cyberpunk wars. In this illustration I wanted to pay tribute to Capcom's original art for the Mega Man 2, (with the same position as the Blue Bomber) and the enemies contrasting with the robot.
Briefing
Quite literally just "Mega Man 2".
The First propoSAL
The idea: I wanted to put Mega Man with his enemies, as well as in the original art of the game, but with a different and proper accommodation. Perhaps putting the well-known castle/fortress of Wily in the background, although that was ruled out in the first sketch.
Sketch
When applying colors, I had the idea of making it mysterious, like the Robot Masters were in the shadows, only using a couple of colors. Some details with lights and reflections. The yellow lights that Mega Man has are partly winked at Capcom's colors.
This idea was rejected, since the second option I presented had more dynamism and a better composition.
The Second propoSAL
In this second proposal, I took as reference the pose of the official art of Capcom for Mega Man 2 (the way in which it moves towards the center) and a little bit of the style from Mega Man 11 for the blue bomber
Vector process
And, as in the previous proposal, I decided to use only color on the little blue friend and keep the RM with a solid color and the occasional shade but keeping the reflections and interactions of light.
In this last one, I had decided to maintain a solid colored background and more contrast, but in the end, the magazine art direction commented that he could make a more interesting background. So with the help of the recommendations made, I explored the different options for this.
