± is a series of jewelry pieces/wearable optic lenses exploring of how technology is blended with our concepts of adornment. Physically anchored onto the wearer, the monocle, eyeglass, and quizzing glasses exemplify how objects with practical uses are not only in conversation with the body, but also transformed into extensions of the functionality they carry out. Lenses cease to be just enhancing our vision, they become part of our eyes by virtue of expanding the operations of it.
Furthermore by decomposing everyday optic devices and reviving antiquated ones, I aim to rethink the forms that are taken for granted in our society.
