Heavy rafter tail buffet/entertainment center

The legs were the inspiration for this piece. I purchased a half dozen large fir rafter tails reclaimed from the demolition of a 1920's paper factory in Jessup Maryland. The character on each rafter tail was gorgeous once a little sanding and some satin finish was applied. I used oak beams for the shelves, ebony stained. And the hardware mounting the top to the legs are brackets taken from an 1860's catholic chapel. They were originally used to attach the church pews to the floor.
