"The Swink Kid" is our submission to a poster exhibition named "The Swink Project" which was inspired by swing music & ink. In the late 1930's there was a new movement on the rise among the teenagers of Hamburg Germany. its followers refused to join the Nazi youth organisation, the Hitler Jugend known as the H.J.. They were obsessed by American movies, British Fashion and swing music. They called themselves "SWING KIDS". Read Less

THE BRIEF:
"The Swink Kid" is our submission to a poster exhibition named "The Swink Project" which was inspired by swing music & ink. Each designer or design studio that participated would create a poster based on the swing dance, music, atmosphere or clothing.
 
THE IDEA:
In the late 1930's there was a new movement on the rise among the teenagers of Hamburg Germany. its followers refused to join the Nazi youth organisation, the Hitler Jugend known as the H.J.. They were obsessed by American movies, British Fashion and swing music. They called themselves "SWING KIDS".
