Ep1 - Agrippina the Younger

Great Granddaughter of Augustus, daughter of Germanicus, sister of Caligula, wife of Claudius, mother of Nero… Agrippina is surely one of the most intriguing women of all time.
Here is a short tribute to the assassinated mother, killed by soldiers in her villa in Misenum (Miseno), by order of his son.
The music comes from Synaulia, a team of musicians, archeologists, paleorganologists and choreographers dedicated to the application of their historical research to ancient music and dance, in particular to the ancient Etruscan and Roman periods.
Ep2 - Plinius

Plinius Secundus (Pliny the Elder) was a direct witness of the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD.
From his villa near Naples with his nephew (Pliny the Younger), they saw the “mountain” going suddenly straight up in the sky before taking its course to Pompeii, Herculanum and several other villages in the bay.
This short animation is a homage to this deadly place and to all those lives trapped by the volcano, ignoring the earthquake warnings before the monster struck once and for all.
Strangely and sadly, this cataclysm is a priceless archaeology “opportunity” to study the Ancient Rome world but it’s also, in my opinion, one of the best places to go back in time, to feel like the real romans and to understand our civilisation roots.
Ep3 - Catilina

The second Catilinarian conspiracy was a plot, devised by the Roman senator Lucius Sergius Catilina, with the help of a group of fellow aristocrats and disaffected veterans of Lucius Cornelius Sulla, to overthrow the consulship of Marcus Tullius Cicero and Gaius Antonius Hybrida. In 63 BC, Cicero exposed the plot, forcing Catilina to flee from Rome (Wikipedia).
