Dorothea Lange. Dorothea Lange was born on May 26th, 1895 and passed away on October 11th, 1965. She was born in Hoboken, New Jersey. She later passed away in San Fransisco, California.
     In this time frame she was an American documentary photographer. She had never owned a camera but insisted that she'd become a photographer. She was educated in photography at Columbia University in New York and was taught by Clarence H. White.
    She is best known for her Depression-era work. She captured the hardship of average people. Her work exposed the beauty in a dark time period. 
Manzanar Relocation Center is the title of this picture. It was taken on July 2nd, 1942. It became famous because it told the story of Japanese American Internment. 
This picture was taken in April 1942. It became famous because it once again told and showed the story of the Japanese during the war.
