Open House 2013

Snapshots that I took during my institution's Open House earlier in June. It was a good opportunity for us to showcase our many programmes, and most importantly, the students. What better way to reaffirm the institution's many programmes and hard work, than to put them at the forefront of the event, and get them to tell the visitors to the Open House, what and how life is all about over here.

Well, it was not entirely perfect, but then again,  it was indeed an excellent effort on the part of the students to be presenting to total strangers, and at times, be selling the school to them.
A showcase of exercise/hopping elements for visitors who are interested, at one of the sports' booths.
A good way to enculturate our multi-cultural visitors is to showcase the different objects peculiar to different cultures. Here's a drumming set called 'Gedombak', at the Malay Language showcase booth.
Potential-energy-powered car. Love the concept. Part of the lab activities done with visitors who are interested.
Free bags of popcorn for visitors. It come pre-packed, for ease of distribution.
The weather was perfect on that day...well almost. The skies held up, to allow for a massive crowd to come a-visiting. Can't help but to capture the blue skies and clouds at noon!
