Development and Lead Designer
In summer 2019, MPR News moved to new React codebase. This gave a short window to do design and development changes on the front end. I was the lead designer on the project.
In addition to being the lead designer I also developed features in React. I had a hand in creating the React Player and the dropdown menu.
One big change is the persistent player. The player goes across the entire screen and becomes sticky on when a user plays a stream or inline audio. In addition, the player sticks to the bottom on smaller screens.
