B R I E F
I art directed and designed Arise magazine – 
Africa’s global style and culture magazine – 
for five years from its conception onwards.
I was short listed for ‘Art Director of the Year’ 
in the 2009 BSME Awards and the title won 
‘Launch of the Year’. It also got nominated for 
'Best typography' and 'Best Photography' award.
The raison d'être of the design was the large creative 
typographic headlines on the fashion spreads.
As art director my duties included commissioning
