The brand Buratto, a Mathery project born in 2011, is entirely designed and entirely handmade in Italy.
Each pair of Buratto sunglasses is characterized by a 30x8 mm section of raw material on the right arm that is not subjected to a finishing process known in Italy as burattatura that is employed to remove burrs and surface flaws. This kind of prevention keeps intentionally the “roughness” of the fragment and evokes the process of burattaura that makes glasses appear sleeky and shiny.

Last but not least, the brand new case, designed in collaboration with Pijama, guarantees the exposure of the raw fragment to frictions so that the process of burattatura can keep going on in everyday life. Se be ready... because the finishing process of this pair of glasses is up to you.
