In 1884, master confectioner Paul Fürst started the confectionery shop »Konditorei Fürst« at Alter Markt in Salzburg. Six years later, he invented the »Original Salzburger Mozartkugel«, a chocolate specialty made of marzipan with pistachios, nougat and dark chocolate. For this treat, he was awarded a gold medal at an exhibition in Paris in 1905. Almost 130 years later, each individual chocolate is still hand-crafted according to the traditional recipe and manufacturing techniques, placed on a wooden stick and dipped into dark chocolate. When solidified, the stick is removed and the hole is filled with chocolate. In addition to the »Original Salzburger Mozartkugel«, Konditorei Fürst – under Martin Fürst, the current owner and great-great grandson of Paul Fürst – offers a wide selection of confectionery, pastries and ice cream.

For the traditional company, we developed a look for all different kinds of uses such as list of beverages, ice cream menu, banners and posters. The accentuated use of round elements and print finishing refer back to the high quality of the »Original Salzburger Mozartkugel« and the other products by Fürst. Additionally, historical photographs make reference to the long history of the confectionery shop.
