Due to the introduction of other snail species to its habitat, the partula turgida became an easy prey. It couldn’t recover from that invasion.
After its extinction, scientists are trying to breed back a quagga-like animal from the DNA of the plain zebra.
Once world’s most widely spread bird, the passenger pigeon became the most hunted one and within a short period of time extinct.
These illustrations were made during the course of a two semester project at the Münster School of Design about extinct animals. It was published by Jaja publishing Berlin.
