Pride, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, Anger and Sloth are the seven capital sins of life. Even when we know we cant let us trap by these immoral acts, every single human does at least once in life.
This was a classroom project, every student got a capital sin to represent by doing a plush toy. I got SLOTH, what in spanish we call PEREZA or ACIDIA which is a least comun name. Besides we had to make an editorial piece about our creation.

I began to analize how lazy people looked like or behaved. I noticed that when we feel sloth we let our weight
rest in our hands and feets, we feel a load in our feets to walk, and a load in our hands to do something. And this was exactly what I did to represent this sin, I started to created a plush toy whose body was light but whose hands and feets were too heavy. I played with differents fabrics and elements to created this patchwork-doll style character. Then, I put sand in hands and feets to recreated the weight, what this did was pull down the body of the toy to recreating the feeling of sloth.
THE PHOTO SHOOT
Because this was a educational project, I wanted to recreate sloth related with study, with my career. I used my library university as a set. I took some design books I put them in a pile and put my plush toy in action. It was just putting it on and he did all the job.
THE EDITORIAL
Contrasting with the photo full of color and patterns I made a simple page, with a bright yellow and some text talking about sloth.

However, the world is full of those who enjoy the sweet moment of not-doing-nothing and the charming of resting muscles"
