An unexpected visit (at château d'Agassac)
Experimentation based on château d’Agassac photogrammetry (3D model reconstruction), in collaboration with Databird (shooting and photogrammetry) and La structure (music and sound design).
For this first photogrammetry-based project, I did not want 3D to replace the images of the building, that were shot with a drone. We had enough shots to make a montage, so having the 3D model blending into the scenery like a chameleon, and playing with video mapping and a graphic layer on top of it came up as an interesting option to me.
I wanted some reference to the castle’s History by using a graphic style commonly found on ancient illustrations and engravings, but also an evocation of more recent events, like the very colorful scenography of Fête de la Fleur, and it gives an interesting contrast to this short fantasy, nicely reinforced by the music.
