Cinthol - World Environment Day 2017

The legendary brand Cinthol, breathes the philosophy of Alive is Awesome while catering to a young audience. It's all about exploring and connecting with the great outdoors. A perfect fit for World Environment Day in 2017. The theme for that year was - "connecting people to nature". A theme which implored everyone to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and importance. 
But the audience is glued to their phones and mindlessly scrolling as well as shopping online. If you see social media, many a #naturelover tries to replicate the feeling of being in nature with a product while indoors!
Heard of flip flops which make you feel like you're walking on grass? (with fake grass on their insoles)
We read this behaviour and decided to have some fun.
And there, Almost Outdoors was born! An online company dedicated to bringing natural environments indoors, right to you. Cool, right?

Cover Image of the newly born business venture. Almost Outdoors. Took my art partner 5 minutes to make the logo.
Now, a fake company needs fake products to sell. And then, the nonsense products that I created in half an hour were put out as enticing, colourful ads.
Once the user clicked them, each one took them to a corresponding video of the environment the product was trying to "replicate". The ultimate messaging was simple - This World Environment Day, #ConnectWithNature
Unfortunately, the ads don't link to the respective videos anymore due to updates to the client site. But I have attached the videos after.
We did a carousel to make it look more legitimate on people's feeds and also, budgets.
Then, to get the message across to more people, we had some fun with formats and made a click-attracting delicious 'GIF' ad, using one of the products. It was a total gimmick but the response was amazing. Or people's want to replace a lush forest with a meadow magic bean bag got the better of them! We linked this to a video which had all the different environments in it together. This click takes you to YouTube since we decided to go for a faster-loading player for this one.
We really enjoyed this one. The user would've been annoyed at first and many may not have waited around to see the whole video. But, hopefully, the ones that did were better off with the prompt to head out and connect with nature or at least acknowledge the importance of World Environment Day.
