I enjoyed Marvel's take on Thanos immensely. I think they've found their best success when they create villains who, at the heart of their decisions, have reasons that you can resonate with. Thanos didn't fall into the classic pitfall of "I'm a bad guy so I'm destroying your planet because that's just what I do." He was much more complex and thought-provoking.
Thanos stands out as one of my favorite villains in movie history. I wanted to pay tribute to the character while pushing my digital rendering skills into a more realistic space.
