    A candle line that is featured exclusively at Target and was due for a branding refresh. “Pure and Natural” is a candle brand that is exclusive to Target and needed a branding refresh after having a shelf life of over two years. They still wanted to keep the brand, but sought a new twist to the packaging and candles that were being introduced. Working side by side with the fragrance specialist I chose a nice muted palette that would incorporate both the packaging and candle to balance one another. The stylistic graphics were taken from the company’s policy of stock imagery, which I manipulated to pair with the particular colors that signified a candle’s scent. In this line there was an average of five to six scents produced at a time, with a seasonal scent that was switched out as well. I created the idea of having some sort of craft packaging incorporated into this brand. I envisioned the brand as having free flowing forms with a nice gentle color palette with subtle details shown throughout all pieces of the collections. The collection included a reed diffuser, a high fragrance vessel, and a type of candle called a cat dish. Overall, this was a truly successful collection and has been running strong for the past couple years since its debut in the fall of 2012. Lastly the logo that was incorporated in this collection incorporate the idea of using this a holistic and clean approach, including a very readable typeface with creating the leaf at the center of two words “Pure & Natural.” Read Less
