Keeping the Doctor Away
A study of the multiple
This necklace is the result of creating multiples of one object through the process of lost wax casting.  My goal was to create a piece that speaks almost as an heirloom, hinting at the essence of a traditional pearl necklace. I used an object frequently used in American decor as well as in common phrases (An apple a day..., The apple doesn't fall far from..., etc.) that almost everybody can relate to in one way or another. The necklace includes a hand fabricated silver box clasp.
