The Mice Wedding Playing Cards
In spring 2020, The Féstiv lauched our first playing cards product inspired by one of Vietnamese' most famous traditional folk painting "Đám Cưới Chuột" (The Mice Wedding).
The Mice Wedding is a wood-print painting made from using layers of printing on to Dó paper or Điệp paper. The art depicts a happy wedding of the Mice while bribing the Cat to prevent from hunting the Mice. In the painting, each mouse is intricately drawn with different character and posing with specific purposes which gives depth and meanings the masterpiece.
Each card is printed with 1 element extracted from the painting and a Vietnames-Chinese word (also appear in the original painting).
