Wedding Pamphlet and Guest Name Plate
Freelance graphic project for family member. Was asked to design pamphlet cover and guest name plate design. Character says kotobuki which has the meaning of happiness and congratulations. It is used in weddings frequently in Japan. Wheat is a symbol of Kansas (client wanted something representative of Kansas since he is from Kansas and met his wife at KU) and the wheat in the circular pattern is abstractly representing the sunflower. Background is a water ripple which is representing the groom. (He is a water related civil engineer) Client provided paper and printing.
