    More rendering practice.
Medusa (plural medusae) is the word for Jellyfish in: Greek, Finnish, Portuguese, Romanian, Hebrew, Serbian, Croatian, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Polish, Czech, Slovak, Russian and Bulgarian.
Not entirely sure why the English language gets such a ridiculous word for this animal.
This was a piece that I came up with after watching some shark documentary, and then researching to find out whether Barcelonas beaches was home to any. Apparently not.
But we do have a few of these guys instead.
This is some more rendering practice and trying to deal with shadows and light in an underwater enviroment, which is pretty difficult, but bubbles are pretty fun to Illustrate.
initial pencil sketch was very loose. I wanted the finished lines to be fairly loose too.
Finished line work. I decided to add the finer tentacles in with photoshop.
A breakdown of layers, Its amazing the difference shadows and light give to an image.
Along with a final texture and gradient overlay.
