Styleframing
I have a strong interest in Eastern classical myths, with China’s cultural perspectives that consist of the three schools of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, they are seen to complement and counteract with one another. I hope that through my work, with mythological image as a carrier, share my understandings and love of oriental classical culture. This time I prioritised illustrating the mythical image of Buddha, with a dark and mysterious background, the texture of the stone carving creates the sensation of fumbling within mist, where he finally found a sense of presence and shock in the vast expanse of space. At the same time, it also symbolises that he is struggling in perplexity, through agony and pain. Finally, in response to nature facing true self, the mind turned and the mist gradually dissipated, knowing that there was nothing to stir up the dust, soaring, and enlightened the wisdom of Zen.(personal exercises)

Thank you!
