Zacharias Center is a non-profit social services organization dedicated to serving victims of sexual abuse, while building community awareness of the problem. The site needed to function as both a supportive tool for victims to find help, while also generating funding by encouraging charitable donations. The design successfully balances these unique needs. Due to the urgent nature of the issue, the site uses a standard navigation system while three large buttons dominate the masthead to directly address the three most common reasons for people to visit the site. Each of these buttons link to a page of resources designed to directly address that specific need and/or audience, free of distraction. Great effort was made to provide a wealth of information, allowing the site to become an extension of their public services, while also enhancing SEO. Site visitors are predominantly women, designed to appeal to a more feminine audience, while being warming and inviting to anyone who visits.
