The Otago Polytechnic School of Design (Communications) is a unique degree taught at Otago and has a very different learning environment and approach to how they educate their students. Otago Polytechnic values the importance of their reputation, career success rates and producing students with the experience and confidence to make it in the “real world”
Our aim was to create an overall personality and style for the design communications department that can easily be applied in short and long video format to be used either on social media or the Otago Polytechnic website. It needed to be real and versititle to our target audience and be convincing enough to not scare students away and ensure that they are capable of doing design communications
This was exemplified through showing a vast representation of the Communications degree, this involved current students who are in different stages of the degree, Alumni who are still in contact with the faculty and importantly real life clients who work with the Communication design school to contribute to the greater good.
