Columbia Yacht Club (Mockup Application)
Columbia Yacht Club, located in Chicago IL, presents members an opportunity to extend their lifestyle in Chicago through boating, dining, and club events.
I started designing the app due to a lack of accessibility in reservations, event updates, and a disconnect of "being in the know". As of right now, the club informs its members through weekly emails that includes a long list of updates all at once. Some of these updates are visually shown through email posters and or just in text. To reserve a space for an event it takes several clicks through their website or through several calls.
With this in mind, I felt that it would best to design a mobile application to make these issues more accessible to members of the club. Thus providing a space to show upcoming events, previous events, and just two clicks to reserve a spot.

All events from around the ship will be updated on the home screen. When viewing upcoming events, from the “RSVP” icon, a pop-up screen will appear allowing you to reserve a spot within 3 clicks.
On Water, features The Dock, where you can reserve a spot for your vessel for upcoming races and or events on the dock. The Sailing Camp features its own section for programs, counselors' information, and an agenda for weekly activities. Lastly, a section for general races, including Beer Can, Race committee and other.
On Ship, features a section of the background history of the Abegweit in honor of the previous 125th anniversary. You can also access the Bar, Dining Room, Upper Salon, and the Tent. For each section, you can view the menus, reserve seats for dinner, and weekly events per location.
