Wow, another nerdy project that I loved :’) … Super bleak topic tho. The topic itself wasn’t the source of my enjoyment in this project, but what excited me was the beauty of being able to see trends in data instantly (again, *cough* nerd *cough*). I’m not a numbers person but I love seeing data trends and comparing different variables, so being able
to compare data without having to read numbers is like a dream come true. The goal with this project specifically was to see what effect the outlawing of guns in Oz 1996 had on different types of gun and non gun-related crimes in Australia, which was then compared to gun deaths in other high income countries around the world. The intent of this design was to objectively display the data, leaving the conclusions up to the viewer.
