The brief of this project was to design fabrics for apparels incorporating traditional craft techniques. We first focused on building our brand identity focusing on our interests and strengths. Then we came up with a concept narrative and a theme board
based on the same. It was guided by my concept narrative that I develop woven saree designs. 

Maheshwari sari weaving was the chosen craft to accomplish the task at hand. An in-depth study into the craft and its possibilities, and multiple explorations into different designs led to a final collection of 10 saree designs. 

The designs were then taken forward into ready to be woven specification sheets and sampling of the same was done on a small scale loom. Simulations were also developed to define the final look.
