South Tyrol with its mountains, deep valleys and great people offers the perfect backdrop for photographers. Whether you visit the region in winter or during the summer, you will always find a motif for dramatic pictures of the mountain panorama.

In this case, it was the Sassolungo which I photographed during sunset. Although the sun had already disappeared behind the horizon, the remaining sun rays were enough to bathe the surroundings and the dominating mountain peaks of the Sassolungo in a mystical light.
