GRIMALKIN HOUSE | Graduation Project

100 years of creativity

Bauhaus was a German art school combining crafts and the fine arts.
It was founded by Walter Gropius In 1919 AD in Weimar.
The Bauhaus movement had a profound influence on developments in art, graphic design, architecture, interior design, and typography.
The goal of this school is to release art from industry and revive the craft again.
Simplification, experience and return to basic form were among the basics observed in the works of the Bauhaus as they depend on the use of the primary colors which are red, blue, and yellow.
It is also noticed in this model that the focus is on the basic geometric shapes circle, square, and triangle.

The main goal of this project is to show the influence of the Bauhaus on graphic design through a collection of illustrations that includes a unified element (the grimalkin cat) in different styles based on the styles of some well known artists in this school were : Oskar Schlemmer, Pite Mondrian, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Josef Albers, and Joost Schmidt.

The name of the project is a connect between the Bauhaus and the grimalkin cat (which is an old cat), based on the school's centenary.

And because I love cats I chose this element.
THANK YOU
