Samsas Traum is a musical group from Germany that formed and fronted by Alexander Kaschte. Their music consists of elements of Symphonic metal, Neue Deutsche Härte, Black Metal and Cantastoria.
Alexander Kaschte
Alexander Kaschte lived in Marburg until he released the fourth album (Tineoidea) and moved to Austria near Vienna before releasing the fifth record (a.Ura), moving for a year to Dortmund and back again to Austria.
Many of Samsas Traum's lyrics are filled with metaphors, which describe the life situation of Alexander Kaschte at the time when he released/recorded an album.

Formed in 1996 by Alexander Kaschte, Samsas Traum was a German (eventually calling Austria home) experimental metal act, encompassing elements of dark wave, black metal, and symphonic metal. The project came together out of Kaschte's frustration with the group dynamic, and he released his first solo work, Nostalgische Atavismen, in 1996. That was followed by a second demo release, Home Recordings, that same year. Following these demo releases on his own, Samsas Traum, ironically, took on members, and became a group. Now a trio, Samsas Traum scored a record deal with Trisol Music Group in 1999. The group's ‘official debut,' Die Liebe Gottes -- Eine märchenhafte black metal --Operette (The Love of God -- A Black Metal Fairy Tale Opera) saw the dark of night in 1999, and was met with mixed reception. Their next album, O Luna Mein, came out in 2000, and was a more avant garde affair. The band released a handful of albums and EPs over the next few years (2001's Utopia, 2002's Ipsissima Verba EP, 2003's Tineoidea oder: Die Folgen einer Nacht -- Eine Gothicoper in Blut-Moll, a best-of in 2004, 2005's DVD and CD release, Einer gegen Alle, and a smattering of re-releases and remixes). In 2007 the band released two markedly different albums, one very black, Heiliges Herz -- Das Schwert deiner Sonne, and one very acoustic and personal, Wenn schwarzer Regen.
The first work was done on November 2016. Sir Alexander Kaschte contacted me and ask if i can create an illustration that reveal Gregor Samsa when he turned into a monstrous bug in the morning.
This the root of the name Samsas Traum itself, which derived from the protagonist Gregor Samsa in Checz author Franz Kafka's 'Metamorphosis'.
My works for Samsas Traum are widely known with the delicate detail level on black and white tone, using various geometrical forms and symbols that i took from the classic knowledge to deliver the message inside the illustration, also as my identic form of art to be recognized by many peoples.
We also designed the various placement on the merchandise with unique and related elements according to the main illustration, make the whole package of merchandise looks exclusive.

All the merchandise above, is the ones that released periodically before the release date of their 'Scheiden Tut Weh' and 'Das Vergessene' album.
One day i have contacted by Sir Alex, and he ask me to do some artworks for their new release 'Scheiden Tut Weh'. This is the first time, first experience for me to be involved inside an album visual project.
The colour tone is beautifully done by Bryan Valenza, Indonesian colour artist that also working for Samsas Traum comic 'Trauma Tales'.
The IndieGogo campaign that they initiated for this album is a big success, they have raised more than €162,303 from the goal €75.000.
These are the original artworks for the visual material inside the album.
They also initiate a special tour for this album. Wow, i am speecless, more than excited writing this!
I remember how we were working on this release. Such a precious experience!
