The trip to Pokrovka
In August 2019 I visited my hometown Orenburg in Russia with my mother after 16 years. The trip was very emotional and eventful for me, I was particularly impressed by the trip to the place of birth of my mother and my aunt - a small village Pokrovka, which my mother has not visited since moving to Germany in 1994. I found the contrasts in this village the most interesting, on the one hand modern supermarkets like in Europe and a better 4G network than in the city center of Hamburg and on the other such so dilapidated and collapse-prone houses that I don't even have in my nightmare could paint. My mother's reaction when she saw the almost collapsed house (the last picture) where she grew up until she was 16 years old spoke for itself.
Die Reise nach Pokrovka
Im August 2019 habe ich mit meiner Mutter nach 16 Jahren meine Heimatstadt Orenburg in Russland wieder besucht. Die Reise war für mich sehr emotional und ereignisreich, besonders beeindrückt hat mich die Fahrt in den Gebutsort meiner Mutter und meiner Tante - ein kleines Dorf Pokrovka, welchen meine Mutter seit dem Umzug 1994 nach Deutschland nicht mehr besucht hat. Ich fand die Kontraste in diesem Dorf am interessantesten, auf der einen Seite moderne Supermärkte wie in Europa und noch ein besserres 4G Netz, als in der Hamburger Innenstadt und auf der anderen so dermassen maroden und einstürzgefährdeten Häuser, die ich mir nicht mal im Alptraum so ausmalen könnte. Die Reaktion meiner Mutter, als sie das fast zusammengestürzte Haus (das letzte Bild) gesehen hat, in dem sie bis zum 16-ten Lebenjahr aufgewachsen ist, sprach für sich.
