Our client in this case was Lulespexet, a students’ association that annually produces a musical, based on a historical theme. Target audience: People, in all ages, that likes breezy culture. Our role: Our task was to produce a poster for the show Svartskägg (Black Beard) that went on stage in the spring of 2010. Svartskägg was a pirate in the Caribbean. Among other things he was famous for always carrying six loaded guns. Challenge: The biggest challenge was to make the poster stand out from all kinds of other ads that gets posted on notice boards. Solution: In this Case we went to Berlin to gather inspiration. We found that some of the artists, behind the posters produced within the Bauhaus school, played with leaning typefaces to make their work stand out. In order to get the same prominent feeling that they had we made a 45 degree rotation of the layout. All the details in the poster are collected from the Svartkägg-manuscript.
