Haltestelle Fortschritt 2018

Haltestelle Fortschritt is a festival about the city of the future: what must cities look like so that their inhabitants feel comfortable? Where - in which future - do we want to live? With workshops, lectures and, above all, many discussions, new ideas are sought on how to fill fallow land and dead places with life.
A self initiated festival about skyrocketing rents, cooperative living and the city of the future.

We organise the Haltestelle Fortschritt festival together with the the great guys from YallaYalla!
Whether it's a residential or building community, cooperative living or a detached house in the countryside. The differentiation of forms of living has experienced a boom in recent years.

At the same time, rents are rising in cities and conurbations, and affordable housing is becoming scarce. As a rule, profit maximisation and returns are at the forefront of project development - little remains of community in many residential building projects.

The fact that residential construction is also conceivable and feasible outside of a financial market imperative is shown by the many new cooperative and public welfare-oriented projects of recent years. Their goal is often not the economic profit, but the conversion of personal conceptions and preferences with the living as well as an increase in value developing for the society.
