It was mid autumn of 2019 when Peony Design reached out to me. They requested that I pen 5 different illustrations for the classic Áo dài. Peony Design provided me with 5 different primary colors, as they wanted the color theme to be a bright and vibrant one.
We then reviewed and examined different models of flower and animal. On top of being a rather time-sensitive project, it was also the first time that Peony Design and I made an attempt at designing Áo dài. The overall design, sketches and selection of color code all needed to be completed in the month of October in order to make way for the subsequent coloring and production processes
