In 2014, I saw a photographic series by Jonas Justen about the promise of truth and authenticity at an exhibition. After seeing the series, I asked him if he wanted to team up with me to create a book with those photos. You can see the resulting book below.

Each of the photographs shows a street crossing in his home county where someone died in an accident. The images don’t show that, on the contrary, they are quite serene. I found a fitting textual in the last words of serial killers, right before their execution. These words don’t seem sinister or threatening as well, they are seemingly filled with warmth and love. 
The reader of our book is only presented with the truth about both the photos and the quotes at the end of the book, an inlay sheet on different paper presents the dates and whereabouts of the accidents and the executions in a cold and factual manner.
