ŻOŁĄDKOWA KOLONIALNA

Stock Polska has decided to create two new flavor variants of this iconic Polish premium vodka.
Our task was to come up with a new brand. The scope of our work included: strategy, naming, label design and a bottle design.
Among the various directions, the colonial mood turned out to be the most promising. It allowed us to properly emphasize the source of origin of the ingredients used in the old vodka flavor recipes in the nineteenth century.
Inspired by the place of origin of the basic ingredient in Żołądkowa – bitter oranges from Haiti, we gave both flavors the names of the original places from this region – Cayemites Bay for the one with a hint of brandy and Port-au-Prince with for the one having a hint of whiskey.
The characteristic element of the design is the asymmetrical label placed on the side of the bottle.
The graphics of the label were inspired by old banknotes, bills of exchange and various types of port documents. Its main element is typography and a distinctive graphic motif in the form of a clipper engraving. Clippers were super-fast commercial ship which were the main means of transport for all delicacies from overseas colonies.
While working on the shape of the bottle, we wanted to distinguish this product from the basic version - Żołądkowa Gorzka. We also wanted to maintain simplicity and age.
