END PAIN FOREVER
This design was created to illustrate a story about the physiology of pain through contrasting freak experiences: people of never or constantly feel it. The idea was to develop some type evocating the feeling of pain in a scientific & emotional mood, based on the metaphorical use of pins & needles, playing with intensity visually through gradients of levels between points in the lettering, as well as flourishing additions in synaptic-like line movements. Winner of TDC Award.
