Cruisin’ for a Cure Benefits Prostate Cancer Patients

Since 2000 when the event was first launched, Cruisin’ for a Cure is still recognized as the largest one-day charity car show in the world. More than 200 exhibitors and vendors have displayed over 3,500 cars in the show. Participants are also given the chance to cruise through the 1.5-mile expanse of OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California.
Crusin’ for a Cure is an initiative created by Debbie Baker. Baker’s husband was a prostate cancer patient. During the event, a free prostate cancer screening is conducted by the KSK Cancer Center of Irvine. The free screening is provided for early detection, which is considered as one of the best ways to prevent the complication of prostate cancer.
Cruisin’ for a Cure is a unique charity event in that everything from logistics and marketing to event organization, is handled by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about helping prostate cancer patients. All the proceeds from the event go directly to the KSK Cancer Center of Irvine, California, a research institution on the forefront of finding a cure for prostate cancer.
The next Crusin’ for a Cure event is scheduled on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
