For this project I had to create a zine based on an area of design. The focus was on research and design concept process. A zine is like a magazine but smaller and typically a handmade self-published work. This zine was created using the Adobe InDesign.

I chose to do my zine on album covers because I love music and I thought this would be an exciting topic to gather inspiration for and to research. This eight page zine covers a brief synthesis of the history of album covers, their artwork, and how the music and design industries evolved because of their invention and diversity.

My goal was to utilize negative space and bold, crisp typography to guide the eye through the design. Since album covers are designed in 12x12 square I wanted to utilize this shape throughout the design as well as other simple shapes to add to the clean design.
