In 2009 I was inclined to draw in illustrated books. Here is an example of this line of work. The original book was a small "floral ABC", written and illustrated by an english author who claimed to have made the book for her grand-children. I kept the A-B-C concept, although I had to ommit some letters because of the way I transormed the actual object. I folded and glued some of the pages because I was greatly inspired at that point form some contemporary japanese art-book (unfortunately I have forgoten which one it was). As I usually do, I manipulated the pre-existing subject-matter as to add my omminous and fantastic naratives. It works as a pop-up book for an adult audience and the images overlap and transform. I have not included all of the pages here, just a small sample, to give the general idea and atmosphere.
