A little practice with Phoenix FD just for some learning. Inspired on photographs (by Egon N.) and a lot of improvisation. In any case, it helped me to discover how complex and precious could be the world of liquids and their hypnotic textures. To never stop.
...The classic style
For those interested in the scene I worked with 3ds max, Phoenix FD and VRay Next.
The scene is pretty simple. I only had to configure a liquid simulator with several sources, with a low time scale, some surface tension in the particles and a pretty detailed grid.
To make the liquid more interesting, I created a surface with diamond geometries so that the liquid could go down some paths and get many details. So I just had to wait for the calculations, use a SSS material and that was all. New drug...
I was just a fast free time practice, so for more accurate and better results thinking on a final image I'd recommend a little more patience and get a few more steps per frame,
a smoother mesh, check the particle tension, and if you can afford it, a tighter cell size on the liquid simulation.
