These are just a few spreads from my entry into this years "sketchbook project 2011". The theme I choose was 'Science project gone wrong'. The cover is a scientific beaker cut-out and each page adds a little bit of an image to create the contents. When i started i had no idea how it was going to look and so it became an experiment. The left hand pages are a copy of the previous page in negative and reversed, I did this to cover up the show through of the pen and it adds another level of experimentation.

Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view. 28836 artists from 94 countries around the world are participating. The tour starts February, 2011.
